Did I want to consider dentures at age fifty?
No way! Instead, I chose to have dental implants after a consultation
with Dr. Randy Nolf of Stroudsburg, PA. As a child and young woman, I
had a "nice smile" and received many compliments about my teeth.
However, a combination of aging, genetics, and periodontal disease caused
me to decide the future of my dental health. Tooth loss and deteriorating
bridgework were major factors in my decision to go with dental implants.
Having a healthy mouth and nice smile are also important in my profession
as an educator along with the longevity of implants over dentures.
First, Dr. Nolf treated my periodontal issues of my upper and lower jaws.
Next, a CT scan used in conjunction with a computer-generated surgical
guide planned placement of the implants prior to surgery. Finally, I received
four dental implants on my lower jaw in one short office visit.
I am very pleased with my choice to have dental implants. I feel more
healthy, beautiful, comfortable, and confident. Throughout the procedure
Dr. Nolf explained each part of the process, was openly willing to answer
questions, and showed a true sense of commitment and professionalism.
He coordinated with my dentist frequently. I would not hesitate to recommend
Dr. Nolf for any periodontal treatment.

"ouch", that's going to be a painful
experience.
However, when you factor in Dr. Randy Nolf, the experience was actually
"pain-free". I had no bleeding and no lower jaw soreness after
the procedure. My gum was a little tender, but that was the extent of
it. I took two advil after the procedure, and that was all I needed. There
was no reason to take any prescription pain killers or medication. Before
he put anything in my mouth, including his fingers, Dr. Nolf went over
the entire procedure with me, step by step, and even told me about the
risks (of which there were only a few). His pinpoint placement of the
implant made sure the only real risk (possible numbness in my cheek/jaw
area)
wasn't even an afterthought. Besides a very pleasant "chair-side"
manner, Dr. Nolf is a craftsman and a true professional in every sense
of the word. He is someone you can trust, and I would classify him as
a "precision periodontist".
Sincerely,
Bob Matthews
